The Setting Up MailMaven section describes how to set up MailMaven to
filter your mail using SpamSieve.
- Make sure that the SpamSieve application is stored directly in your
Applications folder, as shown in the Installing SpamSieve
section.
- Make sure that Evaluate arriving messages using SpamSieve is
selected in MailMaven’s settings.
- In MailMaven’s Settings ‣ Accounts ‣ Mail Accounts, make sure that
each account as the right Junk mailbox selected.
- Make sure that MailMaven has Automation access to control
SpamSieve.
To test that the setup works:
- When you receive a new message, note its subject.
- Click on SpamSieve’s icon in the Dock.
- Choose Log from the Window menu.
The setup is correct if there’s a log entry (near the bottom) that says
Predicted: Good or Predicted: Spam and shows the subject for the new
message.
If you don’t see the expected log entries for new messages, please contact
SpamSieve technical support
and/or SmallCubed and explain what
happened when you followed these instructions.
