Thread: Batch change of file names

Default Batch change of file names

I have a large number files the names of which begin with dates, which I would like to remove. If they were regular files in the Finder, I would use A Better Finder Rename.app to remove the dates in one pass. Am I correct in thinking that doing this in the EF Files folder would break the index? If so, can someone suggest a solution that won't break it?

    That’s correct.

You could use a script such as Replace in Filenames (Regex).
