If an error window appeared on your screen, please include the exact text of the
error message in your e-mail. (It may help to use Copy and Paste.)
Please also send in any errors that were reported in the system log:
- From SpamSieve’s Help menu, choose Save Diagnostic Report… at
the bottom. (If you can’t access the Help menu because the Dock icon is hidden, click this link to save a diagnostic report. If you can’t launch SpamSieve to access its Help menu, see below.)
- Choose a location such as your desktop and click Save. Saving the
report may take a minute or so.
- Create an e-mail to spamsieve@c-command.com and drag the Diagnostic
Report.tbz file into the e-mail message to include it as an
attachment/enclosure. (Do not post it in the forum or in reply to a
forum e-mail.) If the file is too large to e-mail, you can share a link
using iCloud Drive or Dropbox or use the C-Command Forum to send it to us via private message.
If you can’t launch SpamSieve, you can access the log directly, rather than
using the automated diagnostic reporter:
- Click on Finder in the Dock.
- Open the Library folder, as described in the How can I open the
Library folder? section.
- Open the Logs folder.
- Open the “SpamSieve” folder.
- Find the App Log.log file and attach it to your e-mail message.
