SpamSieve stores a copy of the full message data for each message that’s predicted or trained. This makes it possible for you to view the messages in SpamSieve and to train them again if you need to correct a mistake. Normally, it’s better to train from within your mail client, but sometimes you can’t find a message in the mail client or it’s already been deleted:
Because SpamSieve backs up the full message data, you’ll never lose a good message. However, storing the full data for all these messages in the safety net can use a lot of storage. You can select the Prune full message data in log checkbox to make SpamSieve automatically remove the data after 30 days (or another interval that you choose), when you’re sure that you’ll no longer need it.
For message data imported from SpamSieve 2’s backup feature or False Negatives folder, the clock starts ticking when you update to SpamSieve 3. That way you will have at least 30 days to review any backed up messages even if they were originally received a long time ago.
