Thread: Slow application launch

    Default Slow application launch

On my Mac (specs see below) it takes approx. 9s for EagleFiler to launch and display a library window. This is with a fresh and completely empty library. (Opening the library with EF already running takes 1.5s.)

Why is it so slow? Are there any preferences I can set to accelerate the app launch?

Probably not. It’s a known issue that EagleFiler can be slow to launch. It’s currently loading a lot of code and doing a lot of “extra” work at launch. There is overhead from libraries that EagleFiler is using and from a workaround that I added to work around bugs in them. The long-term plan is to stop using these libraries, which will make EagleFiler much faster.
