"There is no such file"

Hello - first forum post. I have been using SpamSieve for years and very pleased. On 11/30 two messages showed up in my inbox with no title and no apparent content. I thought SpamSieve would take care of them, but after I chose “mark as spam” from the menu and they showed up in the Spam mailbox, I was unable to delete them. A popup appeared saying “The Message " " could not be moved to the mailbox “Trash-On My Mac” . The file “2374974.emlx” couldn’t be opened because there is no such file.” So there they sit, undeletable by any means. I ran a virus scan which was negative but I can’t imagine it is good to leave such unwanted stuff in my Apple Mail program. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I think you may need to rebuild Mail’s database.

Thank you.

The “quick rebuild” worked. Thank you!
