UI issues under Yosemite

Hi Michael,

I’m currently evaluating EagleFiler for my new paperless office.

I have found two issues

  1. After changing the application font (size), the new setting will not be saved.
  2. Under Yosemite with default enabled transparency, the selected folder name looks not pretty good

Do you have any solutions?

Is a release date planned for EagleFiler with a 3-columns view?

Thank you in advance for your response.
Felix

There’s a bug in the system font panel in Mac OS X 10.10. So far, I have not found a workaround, but restarting the Mac usually gets it working again. If you still can’t get it to work, let me know and I can tell you how to change the fonts via Terminal.

To me it looks the same as folders in Mail or the Finder. Are you seeing something different?

The feature is planned, but I don’t announce release dates.

After reboot the default fonts settings are back in EagleFiler. How can I change the font and font size via terminal?

After toggling the transparency settings in Yosemite, the blue selection of active folder is gone. A restart of EagleFiler solved the issue.

Thanks.

What I meant is that after restarting you should be able to use the font panel and have the changes save automatically. To change the fonts via Terminal you can enter commands like these:

defaults write com.c-command.EagleFiler ListsFont -array LucidaGrande 11
defaults write com.c-command.EagleFiler PlainTextFont -array Menlo-Regular 11
defaults write com.c-command.EagleFiler RichTextFont -array Helvetica 12

EagleFiler 1.6.4 works around the bug in Mac OS X 10.10 that caused this.

This is fixed in EagleFiler 1.6.5.
