Sudden reduction in effectiveness

My trial period is drawing to a close and I was fully set to buy Spamsieve. Then over the last 48 hours there’s been a sudden reduction in effectiveness. Even spam that my server had flagged has been getting through. I’ve been using Apple Mail and the plugin, selecting the messages and using Message > Train As Spam, but it doesn’t seem as effective as before.

Any ideas on what this may be?

Sudden changes are usually caused by a change in your mail program’s setup rather than changes to your spam or to SpamSieve itself.
