Spam folder On My Mac and Hazel

Hi,

I use SpamSieve to move the filtered messages to this folder, using OS X’s Mail program.

I have Hazel and would like to use it to monitor the Spam folder and automatically delete messages there after, say, 24 hours.

I presume I can do this straightforwardly.

I’d appreciate guidance in creating an applicable new Rule in Hazel.

Thanks!

Howard

As far as I know, it’s not possible to do this with Hazel. It doesn’t know how to control Mail. Rather, it works with files. You could make Hazel delete certain of Mail’s files, but it’s not a good idea to delete files out from under an application that’s managing them.

There are, however, other ways to automatically delete old spam messages.
