Log files missing

I wanted to check SpamSieve’s log to see why a sender who previously was coming through was now being sent to spam, but the Filter > Open Log command wasn’t working. I looked in the obvious locations and checked Console, but there was no log file to be found.

I relaunched SpamSieve and tried the command again – lo and behold, a new log file opened up in Console. I have no idea why no other log file has been created in the year since I moved SpamSieve to this new machine.

If this happens again, please check the All Messages section of Console, as this may show log entries related to why there is no log file. Perhaps there was a file permissions problem.
