iPhone and MacBook Pro issue

I follow the instruction to a T, but Spam on iPhone still goes to my InBox.
Mail is set up as IMAP on both devices. Spam goes to the server.
Any advice is welcome. Thx

On the Mac, does the spam go to the Spam mailbox or the inbox?

If you mark a message as read or flagged on the Mac, is it automatically marked on the iPhone?

The Spam goes to spam box on my MacBook. Inbox on my iPhone.

It sounds like one of the devices is not set up to use IMAP, or else there’s a problem with your IMAP server.

Do you see the Spam mailbox on the iPhone?

If you mark a message as read or flagged on the Mac, is it automatically marked on the iPhone?

Michael, The macbook is def. IMAP.
The phone does see flagged and is marked as read, if opened or flagged on macbook mail.

On a related note, I simply cannot stand the Mac Mail program.
It seems to me that Apple spends all its efforts on devices while ignoring many of its software programs, i.e. Mail.
I cannot remember when they last updated their Mail pgm other than for minor fixes as they relates to Lion and Mt. Lion.

Do you know of a better mail application for MacBook?

That’s good. Do you see the Spam mailbox on the iPhone?

I’ve tried them all, and though Apple Mail has its issues, in my opinion it’s the best (and works great with SpamSieve).
