Time Warner’s road runner is my primary email account. Roadrunner does not authenticate through SSL. As a result, I can’t send email through roadrunner when SpamSieve is activated. If I turn off SpamSieve, roadrunner email works fine.
I don’t think this is related to SpamSieve. SpamSieve doesn’t connect to your mail server, doesn’t interfere with sending messages, and doesn’t know or care whether you are using SSL.
