Import = moving files OR referencing/linking to files?

Hello all,

New user, exploring both eaglefiler and yojimbo.
Can someone tell me what the import function actually does? Does it simply link to your data, move the files, or copy them to the program?

It copies them (like iPhoto). However, if you want to move files into the library you can do this yourself in the Finder.
