Invisible HTML isn't indexed

I’m capturing threads from a somewhat volatile forum as webarchives. Their BBCODE allows text to be hidden behind a button that only the brave may click. It uses display=none CSS.

Searching a library for strings that I know are hidden does not find the files in question. The Finder does, so I guess this isn’t some Spotlight importer’s fault.

Or maybe my library is broken and I have to re-index it somehow?

The text should be stored in the Web archive, however EagleFiler’s Web archive indexer currently only indexes visible text content. Please e-mail me some of your Web archives, and I’ll see if I can adjust this for the next version.

EagleFiler 1.5 can index invisible Web page text.
