Position of SpamSieve in Rules list

If SpamSieve is positioned at the top of the Rules List, will the other rules still function? Or should I place SpamSieve at the bottom, so all of my other Rules (mainly the ones that sort mail to selected folders) still function correctly?

Generally, the SpamSieve rule should go at the top of the list. Then it will examine all the messages to see if they’re spam, and the non-spam messages will be passed on to your other rules. It does depend somewhat one which mail program you’re using, though. For example, Entourage v.X (but not Entourage 2004) has some limitations regarding rules that run AppleScripts.

So… if I’m using Apple Mail… should SpamSieve be at the bottom or top of the list?

At the top.
