And please consider DropBox support; there are surely other edge cases who get funky results from iCloud!

PS - FWIW, "Files" does not synch properly for me. I've spent hours with a senior Apple tech, who sympathized but pronounced me an edge case. iCloud, generally, is funky, so I mostly use DropBox.

    Checking in on Mobile

    Hi, All,

I haven't checked in on this issue in over a year: has any new method arisen for viewing EF items on iPad/iPhone, or is it pretty much the same advice as always?

    I don't see any...

Wow. Dropbox folder INSIDE your EF library. This blows my mind a little. Any reason you did it this way rather than via symlinks?

I'll look into Permanote. Is there anything particular you like...

I guess kludgey solution is to mess around as much as I want on iPad, then, when I return, move all new create/modification files out of EF library before launching EF, then reimport them?

That's fatal. I'm working on a major writing project for next two weeks out of town with iPad-only.

    Can you suggest another route?

Ok, I think I understand. I store or symlink my EF library (or a portion of it) to iA Writer's iCloud Drive folder, and EF parses any edits/changes/new docs upon its next launch? Same for any file...

It wasn't clear to me that they would. But you've answered, thanks.

Sync/Organize Docs for Writing on iPad

I'm a writer. I use EF on my Mac to organize and coordinate metadata for documents which I compose/edit in BBEdit. It's transparent, as the docs still open in BBEdit when double-clicked.

    I want...

It's really a foundational question of what EF is for, I suppose. If I'm using EF to browse recipes formerly in EV, I want front-end presentability. If I'm using EF as a bucket for source files I...

There's no way to ask EF to grab html from a URL and save it as an html file?

I'm surprised! (and it's ironic given that EF makes me work around non-ideal HTML format for my Evernote import!)

I want to end up in HTML or Markdown, one posting per record.

So the way to do this is brute force - present EF with a list of thousands of URLs?
