SpamSieve and Phishing

There are 3 primary phishing attacks I get - they’re messages which are made to appear to come from amazon, paypal and ebay.

I’ve been afraid to tell SpamSieve that they’re spam in fear that it will flag ALL messages from the valid sites mentioned as spam.

What is your advice on how to handle these phishing messages? Can SpamSieve reliably tell the difference between the bad and the good?

My advice is that any time SpamSieve leaves a spam message (including phishes) in your inbox, you should tell it that it’s spam. In my experience, this does not lead to SpamSieve thinking that legitimate messages from these sites are spam. If you don’t mark the phishes as spam, then SpamSieve will learn that you don’t think they’re spam.
