prefix character for tags

I would like Eaglefiler to provide a preference to specify a prefix character for tags when they are copied to Spotlight comments (for example, &).

At the very least, I’d like to be able to use special characters such as & in tag names. Why does Eaglefiler not allow this?

This is discussed here. I’m working on it.

EagleFiler does not allow “&” in tag names because I’m reserving that character for future use. It has special meaning in other programs (probably the reason you want to use it as a prefix), and someday it may have special meaning in EagleFiler, e.g. when searching.

EagleFiler 1.2.1 lets you set a tag prefix character.
