clicking on mail attachments adds them to EF

When I click on an attached rtf-file, it gets added to EF instead of opened in TextEdit. How can I change this behavior?

Are you clicking on the attached file in Apple Mail? It may help to save the file to the Finder, Get Info, set the Open With application to TextEdit, and then click Change All.
