You can use DropDMG to transfer files from one Mac to another, while
protecting them from unauthorized access.
- Put the files in a folder.
- Go to the Configurations tab of DropDMG’s Settings window and
set DropDMG to create a compressed .dmg image that’s encrypted
with a passphrase.
- Drag your folder onto DropDMG. This will create an encrypted
.dmg file.
- You can then send this file via e-mail, upload it to Dropbox or an FTP
server, or transfer it physically (via a flash drive, hard disk, CD,
etc.) without worrying about anyone accessing its contents.
- An authorized person can access the files by double-clicking the
.dmg file and entering the passphrase.
