SpamSieve learns and adapts to your mail, so it\u2019s able to block nearly all the junk\u2014without putting good messages in the spam mailbox. It\u2019s quick and easy to control SpamSieve from within Apple Mail, Airmail, Entourage, MailMate, Mailsmith, Outlook, Postbox 5, PowerMail, and more.<\/p>\n\n<p>SpamSieve running on your Mac can keep the spam off your <a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/iphone-spam-filtering\">iPhone\/iPad<\/a>, and you can even train SpamSieve <a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/setting-up-a-spam-filte\">from your iOS device<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<p>SpamSieve protects your privacy. It does not need access to your mail account login and does not transmit your mail data anywhere. All the processing is done on your Mac.<\/p>\n\n<p>This is a free update that includes the following changes:<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li>SpamSieve 2.9.38 (and also 2.9.37) are compatible with macOS 10.15, however a small number of customers are seeing issues with the Catalina version of Apple Mail. The latest information about Catalina is available <a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/blog\/2019\/10\/08\/macos-10-15-catalina-compatibility\/\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Worked around an AppleScript bug in Apple Mail on macOS 10.15 that could result in messages trained as good being moved to the inbox of an account that\u2019s disabled, making it look like the messages disappeared. This fix is available for all new installations and for older ones if you choose <a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/install-apple-mail-plug\">Install Apple Mail Plug-In<\/a> from the <strong>SpamSieve<\/strong> menu. (If you weren\u2019t seeing this problem or have no disabled accounts, it\u2019s not necessary to update the plug-in.)<\/li>\n<li>Worked around an issue that could prevent some Apple Mail messages from being filtered through SpamSieve if SpamSieve had not yet launched and the Mac was overloaded, e.g. because it was relaunching all apps after logging in.<\/li>\n<li>Worked around a problem where SpamSieve could be slow to launch if the system privacy database was overloaded.<\/li>\n<li>Added the <a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/if-the-apple-mail-plug\">If the Apple Mail Plug-In Doesn\u2019t Appear in the List or Doesn\u2019t Stay Enabled<\/a> section of the manual.<\/li>\n<li>Improved the following sections of the manual:\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/enabling-and-updating-t\">Enabling and Updating the Apple Mail Plug-In<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/how-can-i-rebuild-apple\">How can I rebuild Apple Mail\u2019s database?<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/setting-up-apple-mail\">Setting Up Apple Mail<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/turning-off-microsoft-s\">Turning Off Microsoft Spam Filters<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/why-does-a-message-disa\">Why does a message disappear or go back to the spam mailbox after I train it as good?<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>A macOS 10.15 bug can prevent Apple Mail messages from being moved to the <strong>Spam<\/strong> mailbox, leaving them colored as spam in the inbox. SpamSieve now offers an alternate <a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/apple-mail-script-rule\">Apple Mail Script Rule<\/a> setup for the small number of customers affected by this bug.<\/li>\n<li>Added an experimental esoteric preference (click to <a href=\"x-spamsieve:\/\/default?k=AppleMailPlugInSetFlagged&amp;v=YES\">enable<\/a>\/<a href=\"x-spamsieve:\/\/default?k=AppleMailPlugInSetFlagged&amp;v=NO\">disable<\/a>) to flag incoming spam messages as gray. A few customers are running into a Mail bug in macOS 10.15 that prevents rules from moving messages (even when using an <a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/apple-mail-script-rule\">Apple Mail Script Rule<\/a>).
