To encrypt an existing library:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Close the old library in EagleFiler.<\/li>\n<li>Choose <a href=\"http:\/\/c-command.com\/eaglefiler\/manual-ah\/new-library\">File \u2023 New Library\u2026<\/a> and create a new encrypted library.<\/li>\n<li>Close the new library in EagleFiler.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the library\u2019s white disk image icon in the Devices section of the Finder\u2019s source list.<\/li>\n<li>Move everything (<tt>Files<\/tt>, <tt>NewLibrary.eflibrary<\/tt>, <tt>Notes<\/tt>, <tt>To Import (NewLibrary)<\/tt>) to the trash.<\/li>\n<li>In the Finder, drag the contents of the old library\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/c-command.com\/eaglefiler\/manual-ah\/library-folders\">library folder<\/a> into the new library\u2019s disk image (in Devices).<\/li>\n<li>Drag the old library\u2019s library folder to the trash and empty it.<\/li>\n<li>The old library and any temporary files that were used to create it are now deleted but may remain on your hard drive, unencrypted. To securely erase them, open Disk Utility, select the drive that stored the old library, choose the Erase tab, and click Erase Free Space\u2026.
