This is a free update that includes the following changes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Works with Apple Mail under macOS 10.13 High Sierra (currently in beta). It\u2019s easiest if you <a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/updating-from-a-previou\">update<\/a> to SpamSieve 2.9.29 <a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/why-does-spamsieve-alwa\">before<\/a> updating to 10.13. In any case, if you don\u2019t see the SpamSieve commands in Apple Mail\u2019s <strong>Message<\/strong> menu, be sure to choose <a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/install-apple-mail-plug\">Install Apple Mail Plug-In<\/a> from <a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/the-spamsieve-menu\">the SpamSieve menu<\/a>. Otherwise, with the SpamSieve plug-in not installed, Mail will <a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/why-is-every-message-go\">move good messages to the spam mailbox<\/a> without consulting SpamSieve.<\/li>\n<li>To get the improvements (described below) to SpamSieve\u2019s integration with Microsoft Outlook 2016, please follow these instructions after updating SpamSieve:\n<ol class=\"arabic\">\n<li>Quit <strong>Microsoft Outlook<\/strong> and <strong>Outlook - Filter Mailboxes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>From <a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/the-spamsieve-menu\">the SpamSieve menu<\/a> in <strong>SpamSieve<\/strong>, choose <a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/install-outlook-scripts\">Install Outlook Scripts<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Go to the <a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/setting-up-outlook-2016\">Setting Up Outlook 2016<\/a> section of the manual and follow the instructions in Step 6 to update your copy of <tt>Outlook - Filter Mailboxes.app<\/tt>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Made various changes to improve SpamSieve\u2019s filtering accuracy.<\/li>\n<li>Made various improvements to the <a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/scripts\/spamsieve\/outlook-filter-mailboxes\">Outlook - Filter Mailboxes<\/a> app for Microsoft Outlook 2016:\n<ul>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/setting-up-outlook-2016\">Setting Up Outlook 2016<\/a> section of the manual has been updated to be more complete and clear.<\/li>\n<li>Worked around a hang in Outlook when there are lots of messages in the inbox.<\/li>\n<li>There is an optional \u201cLarge Inboxes\u201d setup that can greatly speed up the processing of new messages if you have lots of old messages in your inbox.<\/li>\n<li>Filtering now works when the Mac is running in Dutch or Swedish.<\/li>\n<li>It is now possible to configure the options using <a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/scripts\/spamsieve\/outlook-filter-mailboxes\">esoteric preferences links<\/a>, so that you don\u2019t have to edit the script itself.<\/li>\n<li>Improved the debug logging and error reporting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Worked around a bug in Microsoft Outlook 15.36 were it could incorrectly report that no messages were selected, thus preventing training from working.<\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/scripts\/spamsieve\/apple-mail-remote-training\">Apple Mail - Remote Training<\/a> script now sets and clears message background colors and (optionally) flags. This way if a server filter and SpamSieve share the same <strong>Spam<\/strong> mailbox, you can easily see which messages are confirmed as spam by SpamSieve because they will be marked in its normal way.<\/li>\n<li>Improved the following sections of the manual:\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/checking-the-outlook-20\">Checking the Outlook 2016 Setup<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/converting-your-apple-m\">Converting Your Apple Mail Setup to IMAP<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/requirements\">Requirements<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/setting-up-gyazmail\">Setting Up GyazMail<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/setting-up-outlook-2016\">Setting Up Outlook 2016<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/turning-off-the-aol-spa\">Turning Off the AOL Spam Filter<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/turning-off-the-fastmai\">Turning Off the FastMail Spam Filter<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/turning-off-the-gmail-s\">Turning Off the Gmail Spam Filter<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/uninstalling-spamsieve\">Uninstalling SpamSieve<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Improved the scrolling speed in the <strong>Blocklist<\/strong>, <strong>Corpus<\/strong>, and <strong>Whitelist<\/strong> windows.<\/li>\n<li>The diagnostic reporter can now check whether the application package is damaged<\/li>\n<li>SpamSieve is better at detecting and reporting problems with the launch agent.<\/li>\n<li>Logged errors now use indentation to improve readability.<\/li>\n<li>SpamSieve now fixes the permissions of the log file if it can\u2019t append to it (and worked around an OS bug reporting such errors).<\/li>\n<li>Improved the Apple Mail debug logging.<\/li>\n<li>Improved the reporting of corpus reset errors.<\/li>\n<li>Improved the error reporting for damaged files.<\/li>\n<li>Documentation and <strong>Help<\/strong> menu links to <tt>c-command.com<\/tt> now use <tt>https<\/tt> instead of <tt>http<\/tt>.<\/li>\n<li>Made various code modernizations.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed a bug that could cause a -10004 error when filtering messages for Microsoft Outlook 2016.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed a bug that could cause a crash when processing incoming Apple Mail messages on macOS 10.13.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed a bug where some <strong>Preferences<\/strong> window labels were truncated on Mac OS X 10.10 due to OS font changes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>SpamSieve 2.9.29 works with macOS 10.6 through 10.13 and requires an <a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/requirements\">e-mail client<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/support#older-versions\">Older versions<\/a> are available for older operating systems.<\/p>\n\n<p>For more information, please see the <a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/downloads\/manual\/SpamSieveManual-2.9.29.pdf\">SpamSieve Manual<\/a>.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Update Download Buy SpamSieve Version 2.9.29 of SpamSieve is now available.
