It includes the following enhancements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Made various changes to improve SpamSieve&rsquo;s accuracy,\nparticularly when processing blank messages, HTML messages, and\nmessages containing images.<\/li>\n<li>The following strings may now be used in rules to match headers\nthat are missing: <tt>&lt;SpamSieve-Unknown-Subject&gt;<\/tt>,\n<tt>&lt;SpamSieve-Unknown-From&gt;<\/tt>, <tt>&lt;SpamSieve-Unknown-FromName&gt;<\/tt>,\n<tt>&lt;SpamSieve-Unknown-To&gt;<\/tt>. It is somewhat common for messages\nto have a blank subject (which can be matched using the empty\nstring), but legitimate messages that omit the Subject for From\nheader are rare, and now these can easily be matched by creating\nthe appropriate rules on the blocklist.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/manual-ah\/quit-when-mail-client-q.html\">Quit when mail client quits<\/a> is now enabled by default.<\/li>\n<li>Log entries are now abbreviated when the string that matched the\nrule is long.<\/li>\n<li>The Apple Mail <strong>Train as Good<\/strong> command can now move messages\nout of submailboxes of the <strong>Junk<\/strong> mailbox.<\/li>\n<li>The Apple Mail plug-in installer works better when the folder\npermissions are messed up.<\/li>\n<li>Can now auto-recover from damaged message store files, rather\nthan complaining to the user about them.<\/li>\n<li>If SpamSieve is hidden when launched, it will refrain from\nopening the <strong>Training Tip<\/strong> window.<\/li>\n<li>Improved the documentation, training tips, and localizations.<\/li>\n<li>Various code modernization and bullet-proofing throughout.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed localization bugs that could cause crashes.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed crash when hiding the progress panel.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed crash when saving false negatives to disk.<\/li>\n<li>Made changes to the Entourage scripts to try to work around an\nOS bug that causes them to grow and eventually become corrupted.<\/li>\n<li>Worked around OS bug to prevent freezes when attempting to play\ndamaged sound files.<\/li>\n<\/ul>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SpamSieve 2.4.4 is now available.
