No more digging into menus or Control Center. Your headphones, mouse, and\nkeyboard can get their own icons right in the menu bar, and you can always see\nat a glance whether they\u2019re connected or disconnected and what the battery\nlevel is. Connect or disconnect with a single click or keypress. See the\nstatus update and show where your Mac\u2019s audio will play from. ToothFairy can\nmake music and videos sound better by using a higher quality codec for audio\noutput. It can also run scripts when Bluetooth devices connect or disconnect.<\/p>\n\n<p>This is a free update that includes the following changes:<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li><a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/toothfairy\/images\/2.7\/advanced@2x.png\" title=\"Advanced Settings\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"161\" alt=\"Advanced Settings\" src=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/toothfairy\/images\/2.7\/advanced-thumb%402x.png\" align=\"right\" height=\"141\" \/><\/a>Improved the <a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/toothfairy\/help\/improve-sound-quality-b\">Improve sound quality by disabling audio input from device<\/a> feature. When using multiple Bluetooth headphones\/speakers, if you connect a new device, ToothFairy will no longer set the audio input to another device that you told it not to use, even if that device had been manually chosen (by you or another app). Instead, ToothFairy will try to select the built-in microphone or a previous device to ensure the best sound output quality.<\/li>\n\t<li><a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/toothfairy\/images\/2.7\/battery-status@2x.png\" title=\"See multiple Bluetooth devices at once, including their battery levels.\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" align=\"right\" width=\"161\" alt=\"See multiple Bluetooth devices at once, including their battery levels.\" src=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/toothfairy\/images\/2.7\/battery-status-thumb%402x.png\" height=\"46\" \/><\/a>Worked around a macOS bug where a Bluetooth device would connect but a notification was never sent to ToothFairy. This could make the progress indicator in the menu bar keep spinning.<\/li>\n\t<li><a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/toothfairy\/images\/2.8.6\/bluetooth-connect@2x.png\" title=\"Select a Bluetooth device for use with ToothFairy.\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" align=\"right\" width=\"161\" alt=\"Select a Bluetooth device for use with ToothFairy.\" src=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/toothfairy\/images\/2.8.6\/bluetooth-connect-thumb%402x.png\" height=\"131\" \/><\/a>Worked around a macOS bug where a Bluetooth device would connect but macOS would continue to tell ToothFairy that it was not connected. This could make the icon in the menu bar show the wrong status or keep showing the progress indicator.<\/li>\n\t<li>Fixed a crash that could occur when trying to disconnect from a device when the <a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/toothfairy\/help\/don-t-disconnect-when-c\">Don\u2019t disconnect when clicking icon or pressing hotkey<\/a> option was enabled.<\/li>\n\t<li><a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/toothfairy\/images\/2.8.6\/settings@2x.png\" title=\"Device Settings\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" align=\"right\" width=\"161\" alt=\"Device Settings\" src=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/toothfairy\/images\/2.8.6\/settings-thumb%402x.png\" height=\"141\" \/><\/a>Replaced the battery status label in the <strong>Settings<\/strong> window with a help button that leads to more information.<\/li>\n\t<li>Improved the following sections of the manual:\n\t<ul>\n\t\t<li><a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/toothfairy\/help\/improve-sound-quality-b\">Improve sound quality by disabling audio input from device<\/a><\/li>\n\t\t<li><a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/toothfairy\/help\/requirements\">Requirements<\/a><\/li>\n\t<\/ul>\n\t<\/li>\n\t<li>Made some changes to prevent ToothFairy from triggering local network privacy prompts.<\/li>\n\t<li><a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/toothfairy\/images\/2.8.6\/applescript-dictionary@2x.png\" title=\"Control ToothFairy via AppleScript.\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"right\"width=\"161\" alt=\"Control ToothFairy via AppleScript.\" src=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/toothfairy\/images\/2.8.6\/applescript-dictionary-thumb%402x.png\" height=\"126\" \/><\/a>The diagnostic report now includes information about the app\u2019s logs, the crash logs folder, and components that could cause AppleScript errors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>ToothFairy 2.8.6 works with macOS 10.13 through macOS 15 and requires a <a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/toothfairy\/help\/requirements\">Bluetooth device<\/a>.
