At launch, it will show the <strong>Purchase<\/strong> window, and you can click the <strong>Check Upgrade Options<\/strong> button to get the upgrade discount without having to enter your old serial number.<\/p>\n<dl> \n\t<dt>Apple Mail<\/dt>\n\t<dd> \n\t\t<ul>\n\t\t\t<li><a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/images\/3.0\/apple-mail-extensions@2x.png\" title=\"Apple Mail: Extensions\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"161\" alt=\"Apple Mail: Extensions\" src=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/images\/3.0\/apple-mail-extensions-thumb%402x.png\" height=\"48\" align=\"right\" \/><\/a>Apple Mail filtering when <a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/setting-up-apple-mail\">using the Mail extension<\/a> is much faster and is no longer limited by the number of messages in a mailbox. \n\t\t\t<ul>\n\t\t\t\t<li><a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/images\/3.0.1\/settings-apple-mail-setup@2x.png\" title=\"Settings: Apple Mail\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"161\" alt=\"Settings: Apple Mail\" src=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/images\/3.0.1\/settings-apple-mail-setup-thumb%402x.png\" height=\"146\" align=\"right\" \/><\/a>This applies to the <a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/check-inboxes-for-new-m\">Check inboxes for new messages not sent to Mail extension<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/filter-spam-messages-in\">Filter spam messages in other mailboxes<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/add-green-flag-to-unrea\">Add green flag to unread good messages<\/a> features.<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t<li>To enable fast filtering, make sure that you\u2019ve <a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/granting-full-disk-acce\">granted SpamSieve Full Disk Access<\/a>. SpamSieve will still work without it, but in some cases it will be slower or report an error if a mailbox contains too many messages. If you were previously using SpamSieve 2 with Apple Mail, it most likely still has Full Disk Access. Otherwise, or if it seems like filtering is slow, check <strong>System Settings \u2023 Privacy &amp; Security \u2023 Full Disk Access<\/strong> to make sure SpamSieve is enabled there.<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t<li>If you haven\u2019t granted Full Disk Access, but SpamSieve thinks you would benefit from doing so, it will show a warning help link in the <strong>Settings \u2023 Apple Mail \u2023 Setup<\/strong> window.<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t<li>Fast filtering currently requires macOS 13 Ventura or later. (On macOS 13 and earlier, it\u2019s not really needed because the <a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/setting-up-apple-mail2\">Mail plug-in<\/a> is available.)<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t<li><a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/images\/3.0\/settings-apple-mail-filtering@2x.png\" title=\"Settings: Apple Mail Filtering\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"161\" alt=\"Settings: Apple Mail Filtering\" src=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/images\/3.0\/settings-apple-mail-filtering-thumb%402x.png\" height=\"162\" align=\"right\" \/><\/a>When fast filtering is available, SpamSieve now defaults to checking for new messages every 30 seconds instead of every minute. If you want, you can go to the <a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/settings-apple-mail3\">Settings \u2023 Apple Mail \u2023 Filtering<\/a> window and set it to check even more frequently, e.g. every 5 seconds, to minimize the time that spam messages spend in the inbox. In most cases, this doesn\u2019t add much CPU overhead, however it might make Mail less responsive if you have a slow network connection or if Mail on your Mac takes a long time to fully download new messages for some other reason.<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t<li><a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/images\/3.0.2\/settings-apple-mail-select-mailboxes-to-filter@2x.png\" title=\"Settings: Select Apple Mail Mailboxes to Filter\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"161\" alt=\"Settings: Select Apple Mail Mailboxes to Filter\" src=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/images\/3.0.2\/settings-apple-mail-select-mailboxes-to-filter-thumb%402x.png\" height=\"162\" align=\"right\" \/><\/a>The <strong>Select Mailboxes to Filter\u2026<\/strong> sheet will no longer show large mailboxes in orange or red when fast filtering is available, because it\u2019s now fine to select them.<\/li>\n\t\t\t<\/ul>\n\t\t\t<\/li>\n            <li>The Mail extension no longer sets the background color at all on spam messages if <a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/color-the-background-ac\">coloring<\/a> is off. This lets you set colors yourself for other purposes.<\/li>\n\t\t\t<li>Improved the reporting of duplicate accounts when training from Apple Mail.<\/li>\n\t\t\t<li>Clicking the <strong>Filter Now<\/strong> button will now filter the inboxes, too, not just the selected mailboxes.<\/li>\n\t\t\t<li>SpamSieve will now log if Apple Mail is stuck reading a certain message.<\/li>\n\t\t\t<li>Improved the error logging when listing Apple Mail mailboxes.<\/li>\n\t\t\t<li>Added <tt>AppleMailMailboxListerExtraMailboxes<\/tt> to the <a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/esoteric-preferences\">esoteric preferences<\/a>, which makes it possible to select mailboxes for filtering that Apple Mail failed to include in its mailbox listing.<\/li>\n\t\t<\/ul>\n\t<\/dd>\n\t<dt>Microsoft Outlook<\/dt>\n\t<dd> \n\t\t<ul>\n\t\t\t<li><a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/images\/3.0\/outlook-menus@2x.png\" title=\"Outlook: Training Commands\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"161\" alt=\"Outlook: Training Commands\" src=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/images\/3.0\/outlook-menus-thumb%402x.png\" height=\"119\" align=\"right\" \/><\/a>Training an Outlook message as spam now removes the <strong>Good<\/strong> category.<\/li>\n\t\t\t<li>Fixed a bug where SpamSieve would auto-launch when Outlook launched if Apple Mail filtering was enabled but Outlook filtering was disabled (and vice-versa).<\/li>\n\t\t<\/ul>\n\t<\/dd>\n\t<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/log\">Log<\/a><\/dt>\n\t<dd> \n\t\t<ul>\n\t\t\t<li><a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/images\/3.0\/log-trained-spam@2x.png\" title=\"Log Window\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"161\" alt=\"Log Window\" src=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/images\/3.0\/log-trained-spam-thumb%402x.png\" height=\"110\" align=\"right\" \/><\/a>You can now click on the <strong>Date<\/strong> column header to reverse the sort order in the <a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/spamsieve\/help\/log\">Log<\/a> window so that the most recent log entries are at the top.
