Leopard upgrade - Mail - SpamSieve - C-Command Forums

I upgraded to Leopard last evening and SpamSieve was unfortunately disabled. I'm wondering about what to do. Reinstall SpamSieve?

At the moment all my messages are going to the Spam folder.

The following is from the SpamSieve Digest yesterday:

Dear SpamSieve user:

On October 26, Apple will release Mac OS X 10.5 (a.k.a. Leopard). SpamSieve 2.6.4 has been tested with pre-release versions of Mac OS X 10.5, and there are no known incompatibilities. However, if you are using an older version of SpamSieve, you should update it to 2.6.4 by choosing Software Update from the SpamSieve menu.

If you are using SpamSieve with Apple Mail, you may find that the first time Mail launches it disables the SpamSieve bundle. Older versions of plug-ins can cause crashes or other problems, and Mail doesn't know which are compatible so it plays it safe and disables them all. Since SpamSieve's plug-in does work with the new version of Mail, all you need to do is re-install it. First, launch SpamSieve by double-clicking its icon in the Applications folder. Then, choose "Install Apple Mail Plug-In" from the SpamSieve menu. After re-launching Mail, you can verify that the plug-in is loaded by checking for the SpamSieve commands in the Message menu.

Thanks for this Mountainbiker. I missed seeing the information that Michael posted yesterday. They key to it for me, other than reading yesteday's post, was the re-install of the Mail Plug-in.

I recently came to Mac from a long association with MS-DOS and then Windows. It's a different way to thinking and operating and I'm not yet as confident in knowing how to fix things when they apparently go wrong. There are a number of things that are not working for me with Leopard and I've been thrown a little. In this case it was simply a matter of finding and then following the instructions!

Appreciate your help.
