Default Search question: Why does "lim" find fewer items than "lima"?

In my main EF library, if I type "lim" in the search field, I find 2 records. If I type "lima", I find 5 - different - records. This is puzzling.

Which type of search are you doing? Perhaps you have Match Partial Words unchecked, so that “lim” does not match “lima”.
