    Default Apple Mail Inbox

    Apple Mail Inbox does not update with new messages until I visit another mailbox first. Is this a Spamsieve issue?

    No, this is not related to SpamSieve. Your Mail database may be damaged (in which case rebuilding it would help), or you may be running into a bug in Mail.
