Obviously I’m new to SS. I use Mail and would like to try SS to cut down on my spam. I understand it installed a plug-in to my Mail app. Does that mean I don’t need to have SS up and running in order for it to work it’s magic? If so, I would assume I only need to launch SS when checking stats and/or making modifications to the filtering settings.
SpamSieve needs to be running in order to filter the messages, but you don’t need to worry about that. The plug-in will launch SpamSieve as needed, and SpamSieve will quit itself when you quit Mail.
