Spam folder is capturing non-spam

If in the Spam folder, how do I indicate that the email is not spam?
In one case the email was highlighted in grey and I could not move it back to my In box. In another case the newer emails in the spam folder were highlighted with different colors. The yellow, orange and red ones I could move back to my in box but not the grey.

Conversely how do you train the software to send a spam email that gets into the inbox to go to the spam folder?

Thanks

Select the message and choose “SpamSieve - Train as Good” from the Message menu, as shown here.

Moving the messages yourself will cause problems. Instead, you should always use the SpamSieve commands in the Message menu.

Select the message and choose “SpamSieve - Train as Spam” from the Message menu.

Thank you that was very clear.

If you look under your 3.9 Correct All Mistakes in the manual it needs to have the clear description you just gave.

Thanks

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll see what I can do about that—it’s a bit more complicated because the instructions vary slightly among the different mail programs.
