using Spamsieve with Entourage and recently upgraded to 2.7.7.
I now find that SpamSieve seems much more aggressive in spam filtering than before, treating as spam things that were allowed before.
This still seems to be the case even though I’ve moved the slider in the advanced preferences to the left to reduce the false positives.
Is there any explanation for this…
There were no changes to make SpamSieve more (or less) aggressive than before. Usually when people notice a dramatic change like this it’s because some other software or rule is moving the messages to the Spam mailbox. In situations like this, your first step should always be to check SpamSieve’s log to see (a) if SpamSieve predicted the messages to be spam, and (b) if so, why.
