Using extra spam rules *after* SpamSieve rule

I have some spam rules that filter out spam that SpamSieve doesn’t catch. For example, when I get spam that purports to be FROM me TO me, those get through.

So I wrote some rules to catch those, as well as a few other major annoyances that were falling through SpamSieve.

Is it okay to put my spam rules AFTER the SpamSieve rule, or does this somehow mess up the way that SS works?

Thanks,

Bob P.

SpamSieve should be able to catch those if you configure things properly. Please see this thread.

This is generally not a good idea because it makes it hard for you to correct SpamSieve’s mistakes. It’s better to use SpamSieve’s blocklist (after verifying that you don’t have a setup or training problem).
